STT places utmost importance on the health and safety of our employees, as well as, the well-being of the people who interact with us on a day-to-day basis – our families, customers, vendors and communities. This commitment has informed and guided our response during the COVID19 outbreak, including the implementation of several precautionary measures designed to mitigate the spread of the virus. At the same time, we continue to operate our facilities in accordance with guidance and restrictions put forward by Health Canada, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), World Health Organization (WHO), and other government authorities.
In many of the areas we operate, local and provincial authorities have issued stay-at-home orders in response to the COVID-19 outbreak in an attempt to flatten the curve. However, those orders permit, and encourage, essential businesses to remain open and continue providing life-sustaining products and services to their constituents. As a systems integrator, STT designs, manufacturers and services dry bulk material delivery systems for a variety of applications in food and beverage, water and wastewater treatment and environmental remediation. Given our role in supporting public utilities, manufacturing and production, STT has been designated as an essential business exempt from the various non-essential business closure and shelter-in-place orders that have been issued by provincial and other authorities.
Consistent with guidance of stay-at-home orders in the provinces and states where we operate, STT is continuing to operate as an essential supplier to these Critical Infrastructure sectors, while executing our plans to protect the health and safety of our employees and the communities we work and live in.
The seriousness of this situation and the safety of our employees is our highest priority, and we continue to work with the local sites and governments to follow the latest guidelines.
We will get through this together. Stay safe and healthy.
